MVEP at Reyno Elementary School September 28, 1998 On September 28, 1998 members of Mississippi Valley Educational Programs were featured in Reyno elementary School's Arkansas History Night. Derek Clements and Tom Yancey portrayed early French hunters circa 1740 entering the Quapaw villages around Arkansas Post. After an exciting "first person" encounter, the hunters answered questions about the clothing, tools, and food of the period. Additionally, MVEP set up three touch tables of artifacts. The tables featured early hunter materials of the 18th Century, World War I, and World War 2 items. Approximately 100 students, parents, and teachers were in attendance at this event.
